I'm The Guy
This poem is for every man whose son has rejected him after the father’s divorce.
I'm the guy you rejected, the one you don’t want to see.
I’m the guy you swiped at, the one from which you flee.
I’m the guy you can’t offer a smile, whenever you’re with me.
I’m the guy you reject and scorn, who you tell, “Don’t bother me.”
I’m also the guy who loves you, more deeply than you’ll ever see.
And I’m the guy who forgives you, no matter what you do to me.
I hope someday you'll realize, how much you mean to me.
Till then I'll keep on praying, that you’ll come back to me.
